BOTANICAL PRINT WOOL PROJECT
Within Bless your hands cooperative, some of us found a common interest in wool arts and crafts, and we have joined our talents and traditional knowledge with wool and plant materials to make beautiful and inspiring wall hangings.
Our Jordanian women members collect and clean the fleece of local sheep, then card it manually and finally felt the clean carded and combed wool by hand into flat wild looking pieces of wool.
These wool flats are crossing the border to Israel, where the Israeli women print on it using local plant parts and materials in a process known as Botanical print to become a ONE-OF-A-KIND artistic wall hanging. Each piece is made with love, hope and inspiration by both Jordanian and Israeli hands in a sustainable cooperative process on both sides of the border.
